Back from hols and the site is now updated with the first few friendly results.

Paul King has been putting reports on the forum and these are now integrated into the main site on proper report pages linked from the team names on the result pages where applicable.

Archive Update

I've now used all the information I can find in my programme collection.

I have some scrapbooks from the early 70's that were kindly sent to me by Ivor Smith when he emigrated. I've had these for some time now and finally I am going to put them to good use. Thanks again Ivor.

Once I've used these scrapbooks, I'm mainly left with scouring the net for information so if anyone can lend me any programmes or scrapbooks I would appreciate it.

By the time the season starts, I'll be ready so if you can help, please come and see me at a match or contact me via the site by e-mail. All items can returned or retained as you wish.

Things happening at last.

At last the news of the management setup is announced and the form has re-opened.

I've not added much to the archive during this week, been a bit busy.

Next important date is 5th July when the first meeting of the merged clubs will take place.

The future is bright, the future is yellow & black!

Still waiting!!!

By now, I had hoped that the forum would re-open and the new managerial and committee positions would be announced. Unfortunately, this is not the case as although some of the positions are now known, there has not been an official announcment as yet.
This is frustrating for me and all regular visitors to the forum and the site in general, I just hope the situation changes soon. In the meantime, if anyone is reading this, please let me know what you think of the site.
The content is still growing, I'm adding lots more results to the archive section. It's a bit random at present due to the fact that I am using programmes etc that are not in my loft. The loft is next, then at some point I will run out of info here and may well be on the look out for information that supporters have held on to over the years. If I can borrow old stuff or even photocopies that would be a great help.

All FA Cup, FA Trophy & FA Vase results are now added.

Lots of updates.

League tables now go right through from 1892-3 to date with just six missing from 1907 when the club dropped back into the county league. Many reserve tables also included.

Now working on adding FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Vase Results.

Galleries complete!

All the galleries have now been converted and uploaded. Remember that they need javascript enabled to run and this may require allowing an active x control if you get a bar at the top of the window. Also, with different internet access speeds you may need to wait for the images to load before the preview carousel at the top becomes accessible.

I have added pictures from the presentation night although some have been left out due to the quality. Apologies to those that are not included. Also, I know that three of the pictures are Stuart Greener, Matthew Hall & Ross Pike but need confirmation as to which picture is which person?

Now using some really neat javascript called Smooth Gallery 2.0.
The first four seasons have now been done.

When I've added all the back seasons, I'll convert the season that has just finished too.

The presentation night may or may not be included due to the fact that the pictures are poor quality. I forgot to switch the flash on!

Entirely my fault of course but I'm surprised nobody noticed - lol

Background Fixed

Finally fixed the inconsistency between browsers showing different background colour. IE was showing white, others weren't.

Have today added results and scorers to the first two Alliance Premier seasons - one more to finish, probably tomorrow.

Think I'll start looking at adding the missing galleries next.

3pm-ish Bank Holiday Monday - New Site now Live.

Some tidying to do such as colours and links on head-to head page otherwise seems ok.

Nearly ready.

I was hoping all three leagues would be finished by now but there are still a few matches to be played in the Wiltshire League and one result to come from the Trowbridge & District League.

However, the new site may launch today subject to a few tests.
News and Supporters news has now been combined and the entries from previous seasons are all available from the archive indexes.
The only thing missing will be pictures from previous seasons, these will be added gradually.

Launch soon?

With the season about to finish for all three teams and all the archive stuff now converted over (excluding galleries), the aim will be to launch the new site ASAP and then add the rest afterwards. It should be a bit easier with no matches being played.
The archive index pages have been redesigned - I wasn't happy with those.

First Test Message!

Hi Everyone.

The whole point of this blog is to enable me and anyone else who may be remotely interested to make notes of work completed or in progress relating to the Trowbridge Town FC Website.

It might be useful (probably more to myself - lol) but we'll see how it goes.
